NOVEMBER 25, 2012

I am so excited that the holiday season is now in full swing! I'm finally back on the grid (got the computer replaced that was stolen on tour), and there is so much that Shane and I are looking forward to.

If y'all haven't heard yet, Shane Cooley and I are putting our solo careers on the shelf to pair up as a duo! We don't have a name yet, but we've always had a great time writing and performing together, so here we go! We are writing and recording a full length album over the next two months with our old friend and top-notch producer Stewart Myers, and I can't wait to share it with you guys. For more details, check out what the Newport News Daily Press had to say!

We've also got a duo gig coming up on Dec. 6 in Richmond, VA, so check out the shows page for details.

Happy Holidays to all of you, and we'll see you after the New Year!

MAY 4, 2012

It's that time of year again: summer is on its way and Shane Cooley and I are getting ready for our second year of the Heart on a Suitcase Tour! In a very exciting turn of events, the HOAS Tour will be expanding further south this year to run from Portland, ME all the way to Asheville, NC, so we are very much looking forward to revisiting the new friends we made last year and spending time with those that were missed.

I've enjoyed my time out west (thanks for the love, Arizona!), and will be playing a few dates in Colorado in June and July before heading back to the east coast. Keep an eye on the calendar in the meantime, and our official Heart on a Suitcase tour dates will be up in the next month or two. Much love, and enjoy the May flowers!

JANUARY 3, 2012

After a much needed holiday, we are back in the saddle and gearing up for a year of traveling across the US! I'll be primarily out west, returning east toward the end of the year, and I'm hoping every mile will be remarkable! There are a lot of bookings in the works so keep an eye on the calendar. I had the honor of playing for one of my biggest fans at his graduation celebration last month, and it was definitely the highlight of my Christmas season. Congratulations, JP!

I hope all of you have enjoyed the holidays, and I look forward to seeing friends and fans on the road this year! Dates to come!

AUGUST 23, 2011

The inaugural Heart on a Suitcase Tour has ended, and what a long, strange trip it's been! I'm currently enjoying a stint at the Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival, so you can find me here until the end of September, but if you're hankering for some tunes, you can check out several of our performances on my YouTube channel (see Favorites) and Shane's YouTube channel along with some hilarious updates from the road. I've also been featured as "Artist of the Moment" on Starliners Radio, so feel free to visit them and give "Danger Signs" a spin! There are a few autumn shows in the works, including some down south. Can't wait!

Thank you all for your support on this incredible journey, and remember to keep in touch!

JUNE 17, 2011

I just finished out a lovely week of songwriting and cavorting with the talented Shane Cooley in the Northern Neck of Virginia, and have finally made it back to the Big Apple. I have lots of northeastern shows coming up, mostly in the city, but Shane and I are working on our Heart on a Suitcase Tour in New England for late July and August and I'll have those dates up soon. Make sure you make it out to our live shows: we've got some great new material to share, and we know you guys will love it.

Tracks from Space To Be Free have been added to rotation on several stations in the Midwest and Europe, and I was recently featured on the VENTS Music Podcast, so make sure to show them some support. And as always, you can still pick up Space To Be Free on iTunes. Thanks, guys!

MAY 13, 2011

It's been such a crazy month! The run of the play went off without a hitch, and I'm back to booking shows and heading up north in another few weeks. In the meantime, I'll be performing in Burning Coal's production of Good Neighbors: An Oakwood Cemetary Play, May 20-22 in Oakwood Cemetary in Raleigh. Experience some of Raleigh's living history on location! Tickets are $20 and can be purchased by calling 919-834-4001.

Coming up, I've got a gig at Jack of the Wood in Asheville, NC on Tuesday May 17, and a gig at the Tipsy Teapot in Greenville, NC on Wednesday May 25, with details on the shows page. Tell your Appalachian and ECU friends to come out!

And finally, in the tenth edition of the Jellyfielders podcast, all you UK folks get a chance to win a signed copy of Space To Be Free, and of course it's always available on iTunes!

APRIL 16, 2011

Space To Be Free is now available on iTunes and the store page! I want to send out a huge thank you to everyone who came out to the CD release party; you guys are the best! Keep an eye out for some upcoming reviews, and remember that Jellyfielders will be giving away a signed copy of the EP to one lucky listener in the near future.

Coming up, I'm playing at Lu's Palooza at Loco Lu's Coffeehouse on April 30 at 3:00 PM, followed shortly after by a performance of Simon Stephens' Pornography at the Murphey School. I am very proud to be a part of this avant garde production; and if you haven't been shaken up in awhile, you should come out and see it.

Thanks for your support!

APRIL 7, 2011

I hope everyone is getting pumped for the CD release party, April 16 at Loco Lu's Coffeehouse in Raleigh! For more info, see the shows page.

The EP CD is now available for pre-order exclusively through this website. Every copy purchased before April 16 will be signed by yours truly and will ship with a few extra goodies, so get on over to the store and pick yours up! The Jellyfielders Podcast you guys keep hearing so much about will also be giving away one of these signed CDs to one lucky listener, so stay tuned for details from them. Pre-orders will ship just before the formal release, so you guys will be the first to have them!

Peace and love, y'all. See you on the 16th!

MARCH 30, 2011

I'm updating from Arkansas at the moment, but I wanted to tell everyone to download the new Jellyfielders podcast! I've been featured for the second time with my song "Something So Heavenly," and coming up soon they'll be giving away a signed copy of my EP to a listener, so keep listening! You can download this 5th epidsode via iTunes or their website: I've got a few gigs on the east coast in the works as well, so keep checking the calendar. Gotta sign off, I have to go play some music!

MARCH 19, 2011

Hey, guys! As you can see, there's a new site design since we're gearing up for next month's release of my debut EP: Space To Be Free. This rocking set of songs has been a long time coming, and I can't wait to get it out to you all! We started recording last fall and are just now getting to the home stretch. As we get closer to release, I'll be streaming some of the songs here on the website, so let me know what you think! You can always find me using the social media bar on the right at Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, YouTube, Reverbnation, and Purevolume, as well as through e-mail at This music is for you; talk to me!

The EP version of my song "Danger Signs" can currently be heard on the Jellyfielders Podcast 1.04, which you can download for free via iTunes or their website: Jellyfielder Studios is a production company in London with a strong base in independent film, and their podcast covers a range of topics pertaining to the entertainment industry in the UK and abroad. I was totally thrilled to get a request from them to use my music in their podcasts, and at the moment it is the exclusive source of this pre-release track, so go download it!

As for gigs, I've been playing in the southwest lately, and I've got a few shows coming up as I travel back across the country in Oklahoma City, Little Rock, and Memphis. Tell your friends to come on out! I've got some gigs coming up in Raleigh as well, scheduled around my rehearsals for the Distillery Theatre's production of Simon Stephens' Pornography, which runs April 28-May 1 and May 5-8 at Burning Coal Theatre at the Murphey School. For more info on the play, you can check out the Distillery Theatre's website. It could be my last foray into acting for awhile, and it's a great show, so put it on your calendars.

Whew! That's a lot of news... Hope everyone's had a great 2011 so far; it's only getting better from here!
